Heather Gosnell, M.D.
Dr. Heather Gosnell is from Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC. She attended the University of Maryland, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and graduated with honors.
She took one year off after college to prepare her medical school application during which time she worked in the neurology department at the National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, DC. It was there that she gained her love of working with children. She then went on to medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She graduated from medical school in 1998. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics in the US Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base, TX in 2001. After residency, she was able to remain at Lackland as the medical student pediatric site coordinator while her husband, Dr. Ron Gosnell, also of Desert Valley Pediatrics, finished his residency. The couple was then stationed together at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. She completed her USAF commitment there in 2008.
Dr. Gosnell joined Desert Valley Pediatrics in 2008 and has thoroughly enjoyed working with the children and families in the west valley. She looks forward to many more years to come!
